April 25 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump returned to the White House after a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, D.C.

Interim Washington, DC, police chief Jeffery Carroll told reporters the suspect had several weapons as he “charged” a Secret Service checkpoint. “He was armed with a shotgun, a handgun and multiple knives,” Carroll said. After the dinner was canceled, Trump said the event will be rescheduled within 30 days and will be “safer.” Asked whether he believed he was the intended target, Trump responded: “I guess I mean, these people, they’re crazy, they’re crazy. And you know, you never know. He was very far away from me.” This is the third shooting aimed at President Trump.
