You can now play Red Dead Redemption in first-person mode

by · DSOGaming

Red Dead Redemption fans, here is something cool for you today. Modder ‘HanaShirokuma’ released a new mod that allows you to play Rockstar’s classic game in first-person mode. This is a must-have for all RDR fans, so make sure to get it.

Do note that since the game was never meant to be played from an FP perspective, there might be some visual bugs and issues. For example, there might be some clipping issues when riding a horse. Nevertheless, this is something that will definitely please a lot of RDR fans.

You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. The modder also recommends using the “ClipTweaks – FPS-DOF-FOV and more” mod. By using it, you will be able to use a higher FOV.

Sadly, HanaShirokuma did not share any videos for this first-person mod. However, you can find some screenshots from it at the end of the article. So, take a look at them, as they will give you an idea of what you can expect from it.

I also suggest taking a look at similar first-person mods for some other triple-A games. For example, both Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Ghost Recon Wildlands now have body-cam style first-person mods. You can also find FPS mods for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Even the classic Max Payne 2 has a first-person mod. And that’s not all. You can play Hogwarts LegacyPalworldElden RingDark Souls 3Marvel’s Spider-Man RemasteredThe Witcher 3Lies of P, and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in first-person as well. Oh, and there are similar mods for Resident Evil 2 RemakeResident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake. And if you’re playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on PC, there’s a first-person mod for that too. So, pretty cool stuff, right?

Finally, speaking of the first RDR, here are some other amazing mods for it. The first one is Reality Redemption. Reality Redemption is a mod that brings a lot of graphical improvements to RDR. Then we have this 3.4GB lore-friendly HD Texture Pack. And lastly, we have the ClipTweaks Mod that unlocks the game’s framerate and allows you to use higher FOVs.

Have fun!
