The Witcher 3 Remastered Mod Adds 18 New Playable Quests

by · DSOGaming

Modder ‘paulr0013’ has released a new mod for The Witcher 3 Remastered that adds 18 new playable quests to it. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

The Witcher 3 Remastered has many small activities to find and enjoy. These can give you rewards, special moments, and even unique dialogue. However, most of these activities are not tracked in the quest journal. They also do not give you clear goals or map markers. This can make them easy to miss.

Witcher 3 Quests Extended turns these activities into full quests. It adds new quests that are built around the original activities.

When you start an activity, a new quest will open in your journal. It will give you clear goals, map markers, and new lore. This makes it much easier to see what you need to do and where to go. The goal is to make these hidden activities easier to find and more fun to complete. It also helps the world feel more alive and makes these small moments feel like real quests.

A lot of modders are currently bringing their mods to the remastered version. However, if you are still playing the Next-Gen version, you can try some of the following mods.

For instance, there is a really cool first-person mod. The Characters Reworked Project is another interesting mod that improves the quality of over 100 characters. Let’s also not forget this mod that lets you kill most in-game NPCs. Then we have this mod that overhauls the game’s combat with better animations, better targeting, and new dodging mechanics.

In July 2024, we shared mods that restored the boat races and added 15 new quests. A modder has also restored the reputation system that CDPR cut from the game. Plus, there is a cool fan expansion, based on the original book “The Last Wish”. Then, in February 2026, a modder shared a DLC-sized expansion mod that added a new questline for Ciri and a new region to explore. Another DLC-sized fan expansion is Dawn Over Kovir. TW3 fans should also try the demo for The WAR Project. The WAR Project is a massive cut content recreation project aimed at realising the vision for a long-forgotten questline, commonly known as the Plague Questline.

In December 2023, we shared this mod that restores content that was cut from all previous The Witcher games. Then, in February 2024, we shared a mod that attempted to remove the fake “hero” light from the game’s cut-scenes. There is also this mod that allows you to explore a part of the world from the first The Witcher game in TW3. Oh, and don’t forget this mod that allows you to ride a Griffin. Or how about this Sekiro-inspired combat mod?

Another must-have mod is The Witcher 3 Online. With this mod, players can join servers and play together with friends. You can customize your character with Custom Player Characters and relax in taverns using the Chill Out feature. You can also chat with other players, use emotes, and roleplay with strangers. Best of all, you can experience the full story of Geralt and Ciri from beginning to end, all while exploring the world of The Witcher with other players.

Finally, we have this mod that fixes nearly 6,000 bugs. It includes more than 2,200 bug fixes and over 2,000 placement fixes. It also restores cut content, as well as around 120 NPCs and characters.

Have fun!
