Tuchel recalls Palmer for Nations League after World Cup omission + Full List
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlineEngland manager Thomas Tuchel has recalled Cole Palmer to the Three Lions squad for the upcoming international break after the Chelsea star missed the recent World Cup campaign in North America.
Palmer’s return is part of a major reshuffle by Tuchel, who has also brought back Trent Alexander-Arnold as he continues to reshape the England squad ahead of Nations League fixtures against Spain, Croatia and Czechia.
Palmer endured a difficult end to the previous season but has reportedly been revitalised under Xabi Alonso this term, with the Chelsea midfielder contributing four goals and two assists.
Alexander-Arnold has also returned to the fold after establishing himself as a regular starter at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho.
His versatility and delivery from the right flank are expected to strengthen England’s options in defence.
Tuchel has also introduced fresh faces to the squad, with Liverpool’s 18-year-old Rio Ngumoha receiving his first senior competitive call-up.
