AFCON qualifier: 20 Super Eagles players arrive camp in Uyo, three more expected
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlineTwenty players have arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of the team’s first training session.
The players currently in camp are Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi, Moses Simon, George Ilenikhena, Akor Adams and Tolu Arokodare.
Others are Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Chibuike Nwaiwu and Isaac James, while the defenders are Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Emmanuel Fernandez, Benjamin Fredericks and Moses Uzor.
Arthur Okonkwo is the goalkeeper currently in camp.

Three more players — Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze and Stanley Nwabali — are expected to join the squad shortly.
The arrival of the players further strengthens Eric Chelle’s squad as the Super Eagles continue preparations for their opening AFCON 2027 qualifying fixture.
The team’s first training session is expected to provide Chelle with an opportunity to work with the players who have reported to camp ahead of the upcoming qualifiers.
