Moses Wright confirms offers from Zalgiris and Barcelona: “Just interested in Zalgiris right now”

Zalgiris center Moses Wright confirmed he has an offer from Barcelona, but also a counteroffer to stay in Kaunas

Zalgiris recorded a huge win over Real Madrid in Kaunas, with Wright one of the standout performers for the Lithuanian side.

After the game, he spoke about a variety of topics and was asked about the offer to continue his career at Barcelona next season.

“I’ma say what Ataman said, I hate media,” Wright told Lithuanian reporters postgame.

He quickly tried to change the subject.

“We’ve got six more games now. We have Bayern, Fenerbahce is a good one. We’ve got Siauliai [Lithuanian League team] next? Yeah, it’s a tough opponent.”

When asked about Zalgiris’ counteroffer, first reported by Eurohoops, he confirmed receiving offers from both Zalgiris and Barcelona.

“Yeah, I’ve been getting offers from teams, just focused on here right now. I’ve got a Zalgiris offer, a Barcelona offer — just interested in Zalgiris right now.”

He then ironically turned to other rumors surrounding Barcelona.

“I don’t know what’s happening. I just saw Josh Nebo going to Barcelona, that’s a done deal. A lot of people are going to Barcelona right now. Who else is going to Barcelona? I saw they were looking at Nadir Hifi… Maybe they just want a Frenchman? Wait, Josh isn’t French, he’s Slovenian. They’ve got a Slovenian, they want French point guards. I don’t know what’s happening in Barca,” Wright said.
