Magic to miss Franz Wagner in decisive Game 7

Injury blow as Magic go into Game 7 without one of their leaders

Orlando will have to fight for its season without German international Franz Wagner, who has been ruled out of Game 7 against Detroit due to a right calf strain.

The Magic have struggled in his absence, losing both games since his injury in Game 4.

His impact has been especially felt on defense — when guarding Cade Cunningham earlier in the series, Wagner limited him to just 17 total points on poor shooting. Without him, Cunningham has exploded, averaging 38.5 points over the last two games.

Wagner was averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.8 steals in the series.
