Tyler Dorsey earns EuroLeague Round 36 MVP after spectacular performance

During a key double-game week down the stretch of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season, 30-year-old Tyler Dorsey emerges as the Most Valuable Player for Round 36

Tyler Dorsey stood out as the Most Valuable Player in Round 36 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season.

Euroleague Basketball confirmed the 30-year-old Olympiacos guard as the latest MVP of the Round on Thursday.

Per the press release: “Tyler Dorsey delivered a night to remember in Round 36 by producing the most impactful performance of his career to lead Olympiacos Piraeus to an emphatic 102-88 home victory over Real Madrid. Dorsey was simply unstoppable, posting a PIR of 43 to claim MVP of the Round honors. He poured in a round-high 37 points by repeatedly breaking down the Madrid defense. His offensive explosion including making 7 of 12 three-pointers and 10 of 11 free throws plus dishing 5 assists to lift Olympiacos to one of its most convincing wins of the campaign.

Olympiacos dominated from start to finish, and Dorsey’s imprint was visible on both ends of the floor. Beyond his scoring outburst, he finished with a +25 plus-minus, the second-best mark of the round, highlighting just how decisive his minutes were. His performance set the tone for a complete team effort and underscored Olympiacos’s firepower heading into the postseason.

Behind Dorsey, teammate Sasha Vezenkov completed a formidable Olympiacos tandem, finishing with the second-best PIR of the round at 35 in the same victory over Real Madrid. Vezenkov also scored 26 points with just 3 missed shots and controlled the glass with 9 rebounds as Olympiacos overwhelmed Madrid.

Behind them were Elijah Bryant and Chima Moneke with PIRs of 32. Bryant led Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv to a 95-80 home win over Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals, while Moneke came up with 21 points, 9 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals in Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade’s 94-81 triumph over Paris Basketball.

Rounding out the round’s top performers were Jean Montero for Valencia Basket in a 102-96 victory over EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, and Matthew Strazel for AS Monaco in an 81-76 win over LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. Both players racked up PIRs of 31.

Individual highs: Tyler Dorsey, Olympiacos, 37 points

Dorsey led all scorers in Round 36 with 37 points. That scoring explosion moved him to seventh for the season with an average of 16.8 points per game, while teammate Vezenkov’s fine night saw him climb atop the season-long charts with 19.7 points per game.

Elie Okobo of AS Monaco topped the rebounding charts with 10 boards. Olympiacos center Nikola Milutinov is the season’s leading rebounder with 7.1 per game.

Codi Miller-McIntyre delivered the top playmaking performance of the round, dishing out 14 assists for Crvena Zvezda in its home win over Paris. That raised his league-best average to 7.6 assists per game.

Jimmy Clark of Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv set the standard defensively with a round-high 4 steals. Clark is now up to 1.37 steals per game, which ranks him fourth behind Dubai’s Aleksa Avramovic (1.4 spg.), Monaco’s Alpha Diallo (1.39 spg.) and Virtus’s Luca Vildoza (1.39).

Monaco’s Kevarrius Hayes and Hapoel’s Dan Oturu shared the lead in blocks with 3 apiece. Oturu climbed to third in the league with 1.3 blocks per game, though Walter Tavares of Real Madrid remains the runaway leader with an average of 1.9.

Three players recorded double-doubles in Round 36: Okobo (16 points, 10 rebounds), Miller-McIntyre (16 points, 14 assists) and Bayern’s Neno Dimitrijevic (11 points, 10 assists).”
