Crystal Palace to soon table concrete offer for signing – Player’s summer exit ‘really picking up’

by · Sport Witness

Crystal Palace are keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Farès Chaïbi and ready to make advances soon.

That’s according to Saturday’s edition of Bild, who covers their interest in a report on the German club’s exit operations.

Crystal Palace target on transfer list

The Bundesliga side are likely to a see a few players leave this summer and ‘things are really picking up, especially on the departures front’.

Bild are focusing on the 23-year-old, Noel Futkeu and Michy Batshuayi, and Crystal Palace have the former on their agenda.

The attacking midfielder graduated from Toulouse’s academy and spent a year with their first team before leaving them for Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023. He has been a regular over the last three seasons.

Farès Chaïbi managed nine goals and 25 assists from 113 matches, and three goals and 10 assists were from last season.

Crystal Palace’s offensive ‘matter of time’

The Algeria international played every minute at the World Cup until Switzerland knocked them out in Round of 32.

Taking his performances for the club and at the World Cup into account, Eintracht Frankfurt have been expecting him to leave this summer.

Farès Chaïbi has a market in the Premier League, where Aston Villa wanted to sign him last summer.

Bild points out about rumours linking him to Unai Emery’s side and Brentford, and adds Crystal Palace are his ‘serious suitor’.

In fact, Pierre Sage’s side could make a decisive move to secure his services.

The Eagles have been keen on Farès Chaïbi and it’s ‘only a matter of time’ before they table a concrete offer. In short, the UEFA Conference League winners will soon submit a bid.

There’s no mention of the German club’s price or the fee Crystal Palace will offer. Chaïbi has a contract until 2028, and Transfermarkt value him at €15m.

There would be developments if the Eagles make an offer.
