Crystal Palace ‘not yet advanced’ for transfer – Player needs convincing
by Sean Lunt · Sport WitnessCrystal Palace have ‘not yet advanced’ to try and sign Sacha Boey from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Sky Germany. They report that while Bayern are hoping for a winter sale, Crystal Palace are yet to get serious.
They explain that Bayern sporting director Max Eberl is demanding €20m for the full-back, but he would sanction a loan with an obligation to buy. Boey, though, has rejected all offers so far.
Crystal Palace are chief among his admirers and shown that they’re interested. But the negotiations between the two clubs are ‘not yet advanced’. It appears they’ve simply asked about the Frenchman and nothing more.
That tallies with reports from earlier this month that stated Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner had been in touch with Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund about a transfer. The pair previously worked together at RB Salzburg.
A separate report then indicated that Crystal Palace’s interest in the player had somewhat fizzled out. Sky seem to confirm that with a lack of advanced talks as yet.
That can always change as the January transfer window gets ever closer, and Glasner continues to ask for signings at Selhurst Park.
