“Happy to acquire him” – Manager delighted over agreement with Rangers man
by Naveen Ullal · Sport WitnessRangers‘ Ryan Naderi has impressed for Derek McInnes’ side since arriving at Ibrox in February and this helped him receive his first call-up from the Czech Republic. Their manager, Santi Denia, is excited to have secured his services.
The Scottish club made multiple attempts to sign the forward in the winter market. FC Hansa Rostock were initially reluctant to sell but allowed him to complete a move to Ibrox on deadline day.
Rangers reportedly invested over €5.5m to secure his services, and he managed three goals and three assists last season.
McInnes took charge in the summer, and the 23-year-old has maintained his place in the Rangers’ starting lineup. He has four goals and three assists from 11 matches so far this season.
Rangers man commits to Czech Republic
Ryan Naderi was born in Germany to a Czech mother, making him eligible to represent both countries.
Last week, Santi Denia’s assistant Radek Bejbl confirmed the Rangers attacker is keen on representing the Czech Republic. The latter were sorting out the paperwork.
On Tuesday, the Czech football association announced that the attacker will represent them and will train with his new national teammates from Wednesday.

Manager on importance of Rangers man
Later that day, they suffered a 2-0 loss to England at home in the UEFA Nations League. In his post-match press conference, Santi Denia talked about the Ibrox man joining the national team, and iDnes have relayed his comments.
“The association is very happy that we managed to acquire Ryan,” he said.
“He’s an important player for the future, and of course also in the present. It is important to have players in the team who want to represent the Czech Republic, who are determined. I am very happy, Ryan is the future of the team.”
The outlet points out Ryan Naderi could have already made his senior debut if not for the administrative delay.
They state: ‘…on the Czech side, there has been a delay in processing the documents required for him to represent the Czech Republic.’
There’s no clarity on whether the Rangers player is eligible to represent them against Spain and England in the coming days.
