Player’s time at Burnley could be over – Two clubs sensing summer opportunity

by · Sport Witness

Burnley’s Armando Broja has had another frustrating few months.

The Albanian joined the Clarets from Chelsea for a fee of  £20m last summer. The deal came after Broja spent four separate loans away from the Blues, playing for Everton last season.

In the ongoing campaign, he’s played a little over 800 minutes in the Premier League. He does have two goal contributions to his name but physical problems have continued to trouble the player.

Udinese and Parma interested

Tuttomercatoweb note Broja’s lack of game time in 2026. During Scott Parker’s last five games as manager, the striker played less than 30 minutes combined.

Before the move to Turf Moor, Udinese and Parma were interested in the 24-year-old.

Burnley’s relegation means the striker can become an opportunity once again in the summer transfer window. It is believed Michael Jackson’s side will be open to a loan, making a move favourable for Italian clubs.

Parma can lose Mateo Pellegrini and Udinese may part ways with Keinan Davis in the summer. This is making the two clubs consider Broja as an option.

Our take: Burnley have to accept loss

Burnley will now have to accept a loss, since the Albania international hasn’t got back to what he once was.

As a result, a move to Italy look reasonable.

Keinan Davis himself i a good example to follow. The former Aston Villa player is finding form at Udinese, which is something Broja can look to replicate.
