Manchester United, Arsenal and Aston Villa in mix for €25m player in January

Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion are all in the mix to sign Olympiacos’ Christos Mouzakitis in the winter market.

The 18-year-old has been a regular for the club and has played seven matches for Greece so far. His development and potential have seen him get linked to clubs across Europe.

Area Napoli covers Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Brighton when reporting the latest on Napoli’s interest.

The Serie A winners’ sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has the midfielder in his target list for January. They continue to monitor the player with a contract until 2029.

It’s claimed the Greek club aren’t willing to let the young star leave easily and are valuing him at €25m.

Napoli are set to face a ‘stiff competition’ as Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Brighton are all keen on Mouzakitis. He’s also being pursued by AC Milan.

Earlier this month, Sportal.gr reported the Red Devils’ interest is real and they have been scouting him for a while.

It’s to be noted that Sport Time in Greece reported Olympiacos would like to earn €40m. It was also stated they need at least €30m to come to the negotiating table. The figure quoted by Area Napoli is €5m less and they seem to be trying to bring the price down.
