Liverpool player says yes to summer transfer – Concrete attempt on way to convince Reds

by · Sport Witness

Inter Milan continue to chase Liverpool‘s Curtis Jones ahead of the summer window.

The Serie A side showed serious interest in the midfielder in the winter market, but a move never took shape.

Towards the end of the window, the Italian club made a firm effort to sign the Liverpool player on loan.

Back in February, Sport Witness relayed news the Premier League side wanted to extend his contract before sanctioning a temporary move. In the end, he didn’t sign an extension and is still at Anfield.

Jones’ failed signing blocked Davide Frattesi’s move to Nottingham Forest.

The Italian’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, revealed Liverpool’s refusal to let the former join Inter Milan in return stopped his client’s move to the City Ground.

Liverpool player’s entourage make decision

Journalist Gianluigi Longari, writing in his column for Sportitalia, covers the latest on Curtis Jones.

He mentions the Liverpool man when discussing the San Siro club’s plan for midfield.

Davide Frattesi is on his way out of Inter Milan. Earlier this month, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy that Nottingham Forest are an option for him after this season.

January disappointment hasn’t stopped the Italian club from chasing the Reds midfielder. They will launch a ‘more concrete attempt’ to bring Jones to the San Siro on a permanent deal in the next window.

Longari states the operation remains complicated but feasible, mainly because of the 25-year-old’s stance.

Inter Milan have received approval from both the Liverpool player and his entourage. It’s down to them to sort out personal terms and then find an agreement with Arne Slot’s side.
