“He’s not going anywhere” – Agent says Manchester United player staying at OT

Diego León’s agent Renato Bittar has ruled out a move away from Manchester United for the left-back in the winter market.

ABC Cardinal spoke to the agent to discuss León’s plans for January. Their journalist, Juanma Figueredo, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to relay his quotes.

León arrived at Manchester United in July from Cerro Porteño, months after he turned 18 years of age.

Ruben Amorim has included him in the squad on four occasions but never handed him any minutes with the first team. The youngster has had to settle for minutes with Manchester United U21s, and has played eight matches for them so far.

On November 24th, we covered claims from Paraguay that the Red Devils will allow León to go out on loan in January. A day later, it was reported that Manchester United could send him on loan to OGC Nice.

Bittar has now dismissed the possibility of his client moving to the Ligue 1 side or another club next month.

“We’re always in touch with the club, and Diego León will stay at United for the entire season; he’s not going anywhere,” he said.

The representative is optimistic the Paraguay international will get opportunities with the Premier League side’s first team. Figueredo relayed his comments in another post on X.

“In my opinion, Diego León should stay at Manchester United. He’s playing for the U21s and alternating as a substitute [on the bench] in the first team,” Bittar explained.
