‘Everyone is transferable’ – Tottenham given transfer encouragement as DoF plans ‘significant tweak’

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed encouragement to chase the signing of Nicolò Fagioli from Fiorentina this summer.

Corriere dello Sport director Ivan Zazzaroni has insisted that Spurs remain interested in the 25-year-old, in comments relayed by Fiorentina News.

Tottenham overhaul

Tottenham are expected to undergo a major rehaul of their squad this summer after narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League.

Roberto de Zerbi is likely to demand significant changes to his team, with a revamp of the midfielder likely to be among his priorities.

Reports have already linked them with a move for Nicolò Fagioli. A report last month stated that Tottenham were keen. Then, a separate report then explained that Spurs were making in roads towards a deal this summer.

A third report today the stated that Tottenham were a side to watch out for when it comes to Fagioli’s future. Fiorentina have already set a €25-30m asking price ahead of summer interest.

Tottenham encouraged

Now Zazzaroni has encouraged them to make a move. He’s explained that Fabio Paratici is putting all of Fiorentina’s squad on the sell list this summer.

“Everyone at Fiorentina is transferable, Kean first and foremost,” he said on Radio Bruno.

“Fagioli is the most interesting player. And, in fact, Tottenham had been eyeing him closely, but there’s still no offer.

“I expect the transfer market to match Grosso’s demands. Paratici will have to align his choices with the new coach’s ideas. I expect a significant tweak to the Viola starting eleven.”

That, then, indicates that Tottenham can get a deal done if they want it this summer. Fiorentina will, seemingly, put Nicolò Fagioli and other key players up for sale at the right price.

And with Fabio Paratici, their former director of football, in charge in Florence too, negotiations shouldn’t prove too difficult either. First, though, they need to make an offer.
