West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth contact for same player – He has priority

by · Sport Witness

There’s a claim in the Turkish media that West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth are showing interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen.

The Dane has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month, with Beşiktaş also tracking him.

Mustafa Karataş has reported on the latest developments regarding Jörgensen’s Chelsea future. The 23-year-old has struggled for games with the west London side this season, with Robert Sánchez the preferred No.1.

The Turkish journalist reports West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth have asked for information about the Denmark international. At this stage there’s indication if an official approach has been made by any of the three Premier League clubs.

However, Karataş states Jörgensen’s priority is to sign for Beşiktaş and get his career back on track in Istanbul.

It’s been well documented Beşiktaş’ are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper after their issues with this position.

Mert Günok, who lost his place in the team earlier this season exited the Black Eagles last week.

His replacement Ersin Destanoğlu hasn’t convinced since being installed as Sergen Yalcin’s first choice.

Manchester United goalkeeper also linked

Manchester United’s Altay Bayındır has also been linked with Beşiktaş in recent weeks.

He’d previously been given a chance ahead of André Onana but couldn’t impress and since Senne Lammens’ arrival he’s dropped back down to the bench.

However, despite him being their main target going into the transfer window a return to the Super Lig now looks unlikely.

Jörgensen joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2024 but he’s failed to hold down a regular place in the starting eleven. In his first 18 months at the club he’s made just eight Premier League appearances.

This season he’s made just one league start, along with a substitute appearance against Manchester United. He’s contracted to Chelsea until June 2031, but his time with the Blues looks limited.
