Tottenham make a ‘decisive move’ for €15m arrival – De Zerbi ‘greatly appreciates’ him

by · Sport Witness

Michele Di Gregorio endured a difficult 2025/26 season at Juventus and has emerged as a target for Tottenham.

The Italian joined Juve in summer 2024 and his first season in the Bianconeri colours went quite well. He played a key role in Champions League qualification, becoming a symbol of stability between the sticks.

Things changed completely in the 2025/26 campaign. His shot-stopping deteriorated and Luciano Spalletti handed Mattia Perin a run in the first-team.

This has brought about doubts about Di Gregorio’s future in Turin. Sport Witness have covered potential interest from Liverpool, but that has drifted away.

More recently, his agent took to Instagram and ripped into Juve, blaming them for Di Gregorio’s struggles.

As his situation intensifies, Tottenham could be his next destination.

Spurs have stepped forward

Calciomercato IT report the Italian is almost certainly on his way out of the Bianconeri. His agent’s comments haven’t helped and Di Gregorio has interest.

Tottenham are one of those keen, and have ‘made a decisive move’ for the keeper.

Roberto De Zerbi admires the ex-Monza player and ‘greatly appreciates’ his qualities. He views Di Gregorio as a possible replacement for Guglielmo Vicario, who is on his way out of the London side.

At their end, Juve haven’t closed on the keeper’s sale. They need at least €15m to execute his sale and discussions about his exit are likely to continue in the next few days.

Deal likely easy

Michele Di Gregorio

Di Gregorio hasn’t had a great season by any means and there is a chance he could be available on a bargain deal.

At his best, he is a complete goalkeeper and also offered decent ability on the ball in his first season in Turin. There were times when he was arguably the best goalkeeper in Serie A as well.

A move to Tottenham would represent a complete change of scenario and that is probably what he needs too. Things have turned a bit toxic for him at Juve and now is the right time to make the jump.
