Plan to sign Rangers player dumped – Danny Röhl’s side want €15m+
by Naveen Ullal · Sport WitnessBeşiktaş intend to snatch Rangers’ Nicolas Raskin away from Danny Röhl’s side in the winter market.
Two months ago, Hürriyet reported Beşiktaş manager Sergen Yalçın has identified the 24–year-old as a target. They also stated his agent has held talks with them over a January move.
On December 11th, Sporx explained the Black Eagles plan to tempt the Rangers player by offering him a high salary.
Sabah brings the latest on the Turkish club’s chances of securing the midfielder’s services.
They have prioritised signing a midfielder, left-back and a centre-back next month. It’s claimed Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı will meet Yalçın to evaluate the targets identified by their scouts.
Beşiktaş have the Rangers man in their priority target list for midfield. As well as the Belgium international, FC Lorient’s Arthur Avom and Borussia Dortmund’s Salih Özcan is also on their agenda.
According to the newspaper, the Süper Lig side will find it ‘very difficult’ to snatch Raskin from Röhl’s side because of his expected €15m price.
Despite pursuing the Belgian for months, Beşiktaş would have to look for other options to strengthen their midfield.
Raskin has a contract until 2027 and played 29 matches for the Scottish club this season.
