Everton player on Fenerbahçe list – Contract situation drawing admirers
by Sean Lunt · Sport WitnessEverton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko is being ‘closely monitored’ by Fenerbahçe ahead of the summer transfer window.
That’s according to journalist Ersan Serdal on X. He report’s that Mykolenko’s situation is being closely monitored as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
Mykolenko has been linked with a move away from Everton in the last few weeks thanks to his expiring contract. Clubs in Germany are believed to keeping an eye on him.
The 26-year-old’s current deal expires in the summer and there has been little to no mention of it being extended beyond that point. Indeed, a lack of talk about it has been noticeable while David Moyes has openly discussed getting the likes of James Garner, whose deal expires in 2027, tied down.
Given his contract is expiring, Mykolenko will be free to talk to clubs outside of England from January 1st. He can sign a pre-contract agreement under the Bosman ruling.
Fenerbahçe could be one of his options if Serdal is to be believed. For now, he just reports that the Turkish side have their eye on the Everton defender. They’re monitoring what happens with him in the coming months.
