West Ham looking at surprise striker signing – Currently with bottom of table strugglers

by · Sport Witness

Fiorentina are struggling in Serie A and find themselves at the bottom of the table. One of their players is now emerging as a target for West Ham.

The player in question is striker Moise Kean.

The Italian had an impressive 2024/25 campaign, scoring 19 times in the league. This season his form has dropped, and he’s found the back of the net only twice.

A lot of this is also down to Fiorentina’s own issues as they are yet to win a game.

Quotidiano Sportivo report Kean is now ‘being explored’ by West Ham, even if La Viola seem confident about keeping him in January.

Fiorentina obviously don’t want to lose a goalscorer in the middle of the season but it might not be that easy.

This is because Tuttomercatoweb reported on Tuesday there is a risk their squad falls apart next month. Players are unhappy with the crisis scenario, with manager Paolo Vanoli’s future also in doubt.

This could be something West Ham can capitalise on, especially since the 25-year-old’s valuation should have taken a hit.

The Hammers have also been linked with AC Milan’s Santiago Gimenez in the last few weeks. The Mexican is now out and set to undergo surgery, and this should rule out the London club’s move for him. That is why Kean could be a viable alternative.
