Talks with Aston Villa expected to gain momentum – Three-year agreement in place

by · Sport Witness

Fenerbahce have been linked with a shock swoop for Aston Villa‘s Ollie Watkins and a move is gathering pace. At least, according to the ever optimistic Turkish media.

Sport Witness have covered how the transfer is unlikely, but they’re not giving up hope in Istanbul. The player’s agent has also shut down speculation and clarified that any transfer talk will have to wait until after the World Cup.

Aston Villa’s willingness to do a deal has also looked under doubt. This hasn’t stopped the Turkish club from attempting further in-roads into a deal.

Personal terms in place

Sabah report there is an agreement over personal terms between Fenerbahce and Ollie Watkins.

The 30-year-old has agreed to sign a three-year deal worth €9m, after tax, per season.

Now, the next hurdle is Aston Villa.

Fener have turned their attention towards holding formal talks with the Villans.

Fenerbahce want to execute a deal at a wildly optimistic €25m. The outlet are convinced that talks have formally begun.
