‘Made it a condition’ – Nottingham Forest add last-minute drama to transfer

by · Sport Witness

Nottingham Forest have inserted a little bit of last-minute drama into Arnaud Kalimuendo’s loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt.

That’s according to BILD.

They report that the striker still isn’t on his way to the German side yet, and that’s due to the Premier League club.

Sean Dyche’s side and Eintracht Frankfurt reached a complete agreement for a loan deal with an option to buy. That would have seen Frankfurt pay €1.5m as a loan fee and then €27m if they wished to sign Kalimuendo permanently.

The parties have not yet finalised the deal.

According to BILD, the striker will not travel to Germany for a medical until Wednesday. That’s because Nottingham Forest have stipulated that Kalimuendo must be in their squad for Tuesday’s clash with West Ham.

Nottingham Forest ‘made it a condition’

They ‘made it a condition’ at the last minute, with the game an undeniable relegation six pointer. There’s even a chance Dyche may use the striker as a substitute.

The situation isn’t ideal for Eintracht Frankfurt, but they’ve been forced to agree. Nottingham Forest wouldn’t have sanctioned the loan deal otherwise.

The two clubs now expect to finalise the deal on Wednesday, after he completes a medical and plays a part in Nottingham Forest’s squad tonight beforehand.

Should Arnaud Kalimuendo get on the pitch, then officials at both clubs will be watching through their fingers.
