IPL 2025 mega auction: Updated squads after 10 teams spend Rs 467.95 crore on Day 1

IPL 2025 mega auction: As many as 72 players were sold on Day 1 of the IPL 2025 mega auction in Jeddah. All the 10 teams splashed a total amount of 467.95 crore on the opening day of the bidding war. Here are the updated squads after Day 1 of the auction.

IPL 2025 mega auction: A busy day of the IPL 2025 mega auction concluded with a total number of 72 players getting sold on Day 1 of the bidding war in Jeddah. As many as 84 players went under the hammer of auctioneer Mallika Sagar with franchises splashing a total of 467.95 crore combined on the opening day of the two-day auction event.

Rishabh Pant broke the record of the most expensive player in IPL auction history as he was roped in for a hefty sum of Rs 27 crore by Lucknow Super Giants. IPL-winning captain Shreyas Iyer was roped in by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore and he is now set to assume the leadership role. Another skipper, KL Rahul, was also up for grabs in the auction. He was roped in by Delhi Capitals for Rs 14 crore.

Chennai Super Kings

Players purchased on Day 1: Devon Conway (Rs 6.25 crore), Rahul Tripathi (Rs 3.40 crore), Rachin Ravindra (RTM at Rs 4 crore), Ravichandran Ashwin (Rs 9.75 crore), Khaleel Ahmed (Rs 4.80 crore), Vijay Shankar (Rs 1.20 crore), Noor Ahmad (Rs 10 crore)

Kolkata Knight Riders
