Mous has just announced its new Optimal Wheeled Duffel, and you’ll never guess who helped co-engineer it. Created in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, the Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel is inspired by the packing needs of the world’s most travelled sports teams.
I’ve seen many unlikely collaborations in my time as T3’s Home Editor, but this latest partnership between Mous and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team takes the cake. However, once I took a closer look at the new luggage, this collaboration started to make a bit more sense.
Formula 1 racers, particularly those part of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, travel extensively. As the Formula 1 season lasts for nine months and spans 24 races across five continents, this requires a large amount of packing, which is what inspired the new Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel.

The Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel is designed to withstand heavy loads, constant travelling and those who need maximum packing capacity for their next trip or holiday. Never one to do anything by half, the Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel has a generous 105-litre capacity, which includes a split-compartment interior and organised sections.
Weighing 6kg, the Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel fits most checked baggage requirements. For the utmost durability, the Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel is made from 1680D ballistic nylon and ABS honeycomb panels which help the soft-sided construction of the bag keep its shape.
Despite being able to hold a huge amount of clothing and other necessities, the Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel is comfortable to hold and maneuver. It features two TPU wheels which glide expertly across the floor, as well as two handles on the side, one at the top and a separate extending handle so you can use it like a suitcase.
I’m a sucker for good organisation in luggage, and the Mous Optimal Wheeled Duffel has really scratched that itch. Its split-compartments divide the bag into multiple sections, and it comes with dedicated storage zones, accessories and a handy spot to put an AirTag.
