The Traitors had another great year at the Emmy Awards winning Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program for Alan Cumming. Peacock is ready not to just double down but triple down on its favorite strategy show. The streamer renewed the Studio Lambert–produced hit for three more seasons. That number does not include the upcoming fifth season of the series, which was already confirmed. It also does not include anything regarding the NBC spinoff Traitors: New Blood, which premieres this week and will feature an all-civilian cast rather than the reality-TV experts that populate the regular series.

Despite the extreme nature of the order, Peacock’s enthusiasm for the series should not be surprising. It’s an Emmys darling, yes, but it’s also a ratings hit. Since the premiere of the fourth season, which featured Love Island star Rob Rausch and Housewives Lisa Rinna and Candiace Dillard Bassett as the titular traitors, the series has gotten 8.1 billion minutes viewed, making it the No. 2 streaming original reality series of 2026 so far by minutes viewed.
