Conor McGregor looked to go through a rollercoaster of emotions as he watched Daniel Dubois' sensational fifth-round knockout of Anthony Joshua from ringside.

The UFC star attended the heavyweight showdown at Wembley Stadium with his fiancee Dee Devlin.

And the Dubliner was leaping off his seat throughout a fight that saw Dubois knock Joshua to the floor four times.

When Joshua could not beat the count in the fifth round, McGregor had his hands over his head in disbelief at what he was witnessing.

Joshua was the heavy favourite heading into the bout after four consecutive wins seemed to reinstall his confidence after two losses to Oleksandr Usyk.

But the 34-year-old was an easy target for Dubois, who enjoyed the biggest victory of his career in front of over 90,000 people.

McGregor, meanwhile, confirmed that his wait to return to the octagon will rumble on for another year.

The 36-year-old has not fought since July 2021, and a long-scheduled fight with Michael Chandler has not come to fruition.

“It will be 2025,” McGregor told DAZN at Wembley Stadium when asked when he will make his comeback.

“We will see. My opponent that I had scheduled has been matched, it is what it is. I take it on board and rock on. My job is to go to the gym and be in shape. Whenever it is and wherever it is, I will be 100 per cent ready.”
