India Women (IND-W) vs Sri Lanka Women (SL-W) 4th T20I Live Cricket Score Updates: Smriti Mandhana (80 off 48), Shafali Verma (79 off 46) and Richa Ghosh (40 off 16) propelled India to 221/2 — their best ever score in a T20I after they were asked to bat first by Sri Lanka after losing the toss.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s India lost their first toss of the tour and Chamari Athapaththu’s Sri Lanka had no hesitation in batting first. With the series already in the bag, India have made two changes to the side for the 4th T20I at the The Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday: Jemimah Rodrigues is out due to fever while Kranti Gaud has been rested. In their place come Harleen Deol and Arundhati Reddy.

Shafali Verma has been in a superb knock in the series, and she was well complimented with the bowlers early on. In the third T20I, Harmanpreet Kaur too chipped in with a cameo, getting amongst the runs. With the ball, Renuka Singh Thakur was the pick of the bowlers in the previous T20I.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will seek to salvage something out of the series by winning at least one of the two remaining games. Though they have given glimpses of what they can do in the series from time to time, they have not delivered something substantial in the series.

IND-W vs SL-W, Live Cricket Score: DROPPED!

Another chance that's dropped by India in the field. This time it's Deepti Sharma who lost flight of the ball at extra cover and completely misjudges the catch. It was a slower offcutter that was outside off and Samarawickrama was trying to heave the ball over covers.

At this level, those kind of chances are usually taken!

After 15 overs, Sri Lanka are 139/2. They need 83 off 30 balls

IND-W vs SL-W, Live Cricket Score: GONE!!

A big wicket for India! Captain Chamari Athapaththu departs right after scoring a half century. And it's the 20-year-old Vaishnavi Sharma, who gets India a breakthrough. Smriti Mandhana takes the catch at the deep while running to the side.

IND-W vs SL-W, Live Cricket Score: a captain's fightback

Half century for the Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu, who has hit just three sixes and three fours, but has got to the 50-run mark in just over 30 balls.

After the fall of Hasini Perera's wicket with the team score on 59, things could have gone awry for Sri Lanka. But she ensured that the visitors stayed in touching distance.

IND-W vs SL-W, Live Cricket Score: MISSED CHANCE?

Vaishani Sharma's spin almost gets India a second wicket after she beats the advancing Imesha Dulani with her guile. But Richa Ghosh misses the ball and Dulani gets back in time. The chance would not have counted, because it was an over-stepped no ball. But even before the ball was declared a no ball, she had already forgiven the keeper with a smile and a 'koi baat nai'.

The over sees Sri Lankan batters try to take the aerial route and at least twice the ball falls short of the fielder.

After 11 overs, Sri Lanka are 102/1

IND-W vs SL-W, Live Cricket Score: SL 95/1 after 10 overs

The wicket of Hasini Perera seems to have taken the fizz out of the Sri Lankan attack as the boundaries have dried up.

Arundhati has given India a breakthrough. Hasini Perera throws away her wicket after a promising start. She departs for 33 after trying to hit the ball out the park, but just managing to find the fielder at long off! The bat turned in her hand and prevented the shot from getting too much distance.

Deepthi Sharma brought in. And she bleeds runs too! 13 runs, in fact, in her first over of the game. And just like that Sri Lanka have traced to 43/0 after just 3 overs.

The Sri Lankan opening pair is doing really well to rotate the strike when they are not hitting the balls to the fence.

All six balls yielded runs in that over!

And India bring in Renuka again, which means a change of ends for the pacer.

Arundhati Reddy, who is in the side today, starts off with a boundary, a no ball and then another boundary off the free hit ball. 10 runs in the first two legal deliveries.

In the previous game, India had called in Deepti for her spin and she had got India the wicket of Chamari Athapaththu.

Today, Harman has opted for pace in the second over and handed the ball to Reddy, who gives away another wide and a boundary on the final ball.

17 runs off that over from Arundhati Reddy. Sri Lanka are 29/0 after 2

IND-W vs SL-W, Live Cricket Score: Sri Lanka start off with bang

Three boundaries in the opening over for Sri Lanka here! All three coming from the blade of Hasini Perera, who was the aggressor for Sri Lanka in the last game.

Renuka Singh seems to be struggling with her line a little, the first four came off a ball that was wide off the pads. The final one came off a ball that gave too much width on the off!

After one over, Sri Lanka are 12/0

India cruise past the 50-run mark at a canter.

Kawya Kavindi still has the ball. But in her second over, she gets tonked for three boundaries by the Indian openers. The first four from Smriti was a clean smash. But the second one was an inside edge. It's a measure of how much luck India are rising that the inside edge too slipped past the keeper's gloves to the ropes.

Harmanpreet Kaur's run of three toss wins is over in this series. But in a match where she says India wanted to bat first anyway, it doesn't make a difference. Jemimah Rodrigues is ill, Kranti Gaud rested too. Harleen Deol and Arundhati Reddy in the XI. India have maintained so far they weren’t too fussed about challenging themselves by batting first, but now the series is done, this is an ideal scenario for both teams.

India heads into the fourth T20I against Sri Lanka on Sunday with a commanding 3-0 series lead, aiming to extend their total dominance over the visitors. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian side has comfortably swept the series so far, largely due to a potent bowling attack featuring standouts like Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh, who have consistently restricted Sri Lanka to low totals. This bowling efficiency has allowed the Indian batters to chase down targets with ease, never losing more than three wickets or needing more than 15 overs to secure a win, leaving the outmatched Sri Lankan team struggling to find a way to compete.
