24th NSF MM Trophy: Sechü Zubza FC enters final

Kohima, October 2: Sechü Zubza Football Club today became the first team to enter into the final of the ongoing students’ memorial football tournament organized by Angami Students’ Union (ASU) at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima.

Playing a closely contested first semi-final, Sechü Zubza FC defeated visitors from Manipur, Asufü Christian Institute by a solitary goal scored by Rhitso Mero.

Mero was also adjudged the man of the match, which was handed over by Councillor of Ward 19 KMC, Medoviu Martin Suohu as match patron.

Neilaü & Methasieo Zhale and Litsuku Lohe entertained the spectators as the guest artists.

Earlier in the morning, the fourth quarter final match between Circle FC Chedema and Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong was continued for the remaining 25 minutes of the game.

The match was withheld last night following technical snap with the floodlights during the 65th minute of play with Circle FC leading by one goal netted by7 Daniel in the 43rd minute.

Continuing the match for the remaining time, Joseph scored the second lead in the 82nd minute sealing the semi-final berth for Circle FC.

Kekhrie Tsira of Circle FC was declared the player of the match while the award was handed over by Organising committee convenor Vizokho Zashümo.
