Dimapur Chaos win Dr KC Nihoshe memorial open football tourney

Zunheboto, November 28: The closing ceremony of the 1st Dr. KC Nihoshe Memorial Open Football Tournament was held today at the District Sports Council Ground in Zunheboto with Major Prince Fernandez of the 11 Battalion Assam Rifles Zunheboto as the guest of honour.

In his address, Major Fernandez emphasized the importance of supporting young talent, remarking, “Today you’re playing here, but who knows, some of you might even make it to the FIFA World Cup or Manchester. Keep your eyes on these youngsters and give them your love and affection.”

The final match saw an exciting contest between Dimapur Chaos and Peregrines Club Football. Dimapur Chaos, sponsored by Jimos Car Rental Dimapur, emerged as the champions, securing a 2-0 victory. Honato (Jersey No. 9) and Nungsanh (Jersey No. 88) scored the winning goals for Dimapur Chaos.
