Bridgerton’s Daphne and Francesca Have Technically Stood in the Same Room, but They Have Never Really Met

Phoebe Dynevor’s Daphne carried Season 1, showed up in a supporting role in Season 2, and hasn’t been onscreen since.
Ruby Stokes played Francesca in Seasons 1 and 2 in tiny doses (she was always conveniently “away practicing piano”), then left for Lockwood & Co. and was recast with Hannah Dodd for Season 3. By the time Francesca actually got a story, Daphne was gone.
The two sisters have technically stood in the same room. They have not, in any meaningful sense, met.
Anthony and Eloise are the other running bit. Jonathan Bailey and Claudia Jessie have shared four seasons of group scenes, family dinners, weddings, and crises, and the eldest brother and the loudest sister have still never had a proper one-on-one conversation.
Benedict and Eloise get swing scenes. Anthony gets nothing.
Showrunner Jess Brownell has said the plan isn’t to recast Dynevor or Regé-Jean Page, so Daphne stays offscreen rather than get a new face.
Season 4, Benedict’s story, released in two parts earlier this year, kept the pattern going: Daphne missing from family events where she’d obviously be, Anthony and Eloise still not talking.
Eight siblings, one romance per season, and a family tree with holes you can see from space.
