British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua pocketed a significant sum of money after his heavyweight boxing exhibition bout with Jake Paul in Miami.

Joshua knocked out Paul in the sixth round of the fight, which was agreed to be for eight rounds, delivering a punch to the jaw that sent the YouTuber to the canvas.

The two-time heavyweight champion had earlier claimed that he would consider the match a failure if Paul took him to the distance beyond the first round.

Many fans questioned the choice of Joshua’s opponents after returning to the ring for the first time in 15 months since he lost to Daniel Dubois.

Regardless of what fans may think, Joshua was heavily rewarded for the fight, receiving the biggest payout of his exhibitions, more than he received after defeating Francis Ngannou.

According to Sporting Life, the two boxers shared a prize pool of $184 million, an equal split of $92 million, with other bonuses taking it beyond that figure.

Joshua calls out Tyson Fury

Joshua, shortly after knocking out Paul, set his sights on his next opponent, Tyson Fury, as he looked to secure an all-British heavyweight fight.

Two of the best British boxers have never met in a ring despite trading words in the media and on social media for nearly a decade.

"I can't wait to go into 2026. If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on his gloves, and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there then I'll take on the challenge,” Joshua told Netflix, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“Step in the ring with me next if you're a real bad boy. Don't do all that talking, 'AJ is this, AJ is that', let's see you in the ring and talk with your fists.”

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, confirmed the readiness to have the fight in two months if the Gypsy King shows the desire to get into the ring.

"We want the Tyson Fury fight of course. That's the fight, the biggest fight," said Hearn.

“We can do that, by the way, straight away. No interim fights. If Tyson's ready and AJ is ready, we don't have to fight in February or March. I think he's saying eight weeks, 24 hours to sign a contract.”
