The Macallan Tapped Into NYC’s Club Scene With a Curated DJ Residency

The weekend-long Macallan Edit hosted an evening of DJ sets at NYC’s Pearl Box, toasting to the New Year ahead.

The Macallan Edit, Curated by Hypebeast, was a weekend-long event that elegantly fused design, food and retail in an elevated lounge environment. The Macallan Timeless Collection, an assortment of fine-aged whisky spanning 12 to 30 years, served as a visual centerpiece of the event series, presenting unique purchase opportunities to VIP guests seeking thoughtful gifts for friends and family this holiday season. Adding an immersive layer of community within the space, The Macallan hosted a DJ residency during its weekend-long experience at SoHo’s Pearl Box.

Toasting to artful, intentional experiences that bring people together in a sense of seasonal camaraderie, the event spotlighted NYC’s contemporary music scene. The Macallan celebrated the energy and sounds powering the tastemakers and creatives driving the city forward in culture. Drawing inspiration from modern listening rooms and vinyl bars, the attic inside Pearl Box transformed into a bespoke lounge area serving the Timeless Collection.

Synonymous with the spirit and elegance of The Macallan portfolio, the night featured an impressive roster of in-demand DJs who performed energetic sets. With seasonal cocktails and neat pours in rotation, guests also enjoyed small plates from the Pearl Box kitchen. LA-based DJ Anastazja kicked off the event. Known for her eclectic mix of Chicago House and Brazilian Funk, Anastazja’s set saw the crowd dancing and socializing. NYC-based DJ Dennis Free made an anticipated appearance, closing out the event with high-BPMs — a soulful yet experimental blend of electronica, funk, house and Afro beats.
