Durban City Joins Chiefs In Confed Cup Second Round

The Nedbank Cup champions came into the clash with a slender lead after claiming a 1-0 victory at the Moses Mabhida Stadium seven days ago.
Jean Lwamba led the attack on his own this time as Tashreeq Morris dropped to the bench, but the team were able to call on Gatson Sirino and Bandile Shandu, who have experience of playing continental football.

With the visitors holding a 3-0 lead on aggregate, coach Ben Youssef made a triple change on the hour mark when Ethan Brooks, Makua, and Mthembu replaced Tyler Sanger, Jurgens and Shanu for the final 30 minutes.
The home side manage to pull one back with seven minutes left on the clock, but the it did not disrupt City's proceedings as the South African side held on for the 2-1 win to join Kaizer Chiefs in the next round.
City will now face Mauritian outfit AS Port-Louis 2000, who defeated overcame Jwaneng Galaxy.
