Packers Star Edge Rusher Micah Parsons Reportedly Tore ACL, Ending Season

· FOX Sports

The Green Bay Packers‘ worst fears about Micah Parsons’ knee injury have come to fruition.

An MRI found that Parsons tore his ACL in the Packers' loss to the Denver Broncos, NFL Media reported. Parsons' 2025 season will come to an end as a result of the injury.

"I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated," Parsons wrote in a social media post. "This injury is my greatest test—a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again."

Shortly after the loss, FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer reported that the Packers were fearing that Parsons suffered an ACL tear. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur also sounded ominous about the injury when he spoke with reporters following the 34-26 loss.

"It doesn’t look good, I’ll leave it at that," LaFleur said.

Parsons grabbed his left knee as he tried to sack Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and immediately went down to the ground with 55 seconds left in the third quarter. He was initially deemed questionable and later ruled out in the fourth quarter.

The four-time Pro Bowler had a concerned look on his face while being tended to by the training staff before getting helped off the field.

Parsons exited the game with two tackles, one pass deflection and a forced fumble that was recovered by Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper.

Parsons entered Sunday tied for third in the league in sacks with 12.5, living up to the contract extension he signed in August that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Of course, that deal was part of the Packers' trade to get him from the Dallas Cowboys, with Green Bay surrendering two first-round picks plus defensive tackle Kenny Clark to get Parsons.

Now, the Packers will have to make a playoff push without one of the game's top players. Sunday's loss not only moved them to 9-4-1 on the season, but the Packers also dropped to second place in the NFC North to the Chicago Bears. The Packers will face the Bears on Saturday for the opportunity to reclaim first place and claim the important tiebreaker from their division rival
