Kohli reached the three-figure mark with a boundary off Marnus Labuschagne through fine leg. The fielder at deep fine leg put in a dive, but could not save the four. Immediately, Jasprit Bumrah declared their innings at 487 for the loss of six wickets, which meant that India set their opponents a target of 534 to chase down.

I just want to contribute to the team’s cause, I am not a guy who wants to hang around just for the sake of it," Kohli added.
Kohli failed in the first innings, but Hazlewood accounted for his wicket. But in the second innings, the right-hander made sure to make amends. He also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most hundreds by an Indian in Test cricket on Australian soil.
