  • Samay Raina praised Sacred Games before cracking an adult-themes gag
  • Siddiqui matched the tone, joking he had arrived similarly prepared

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui found himself on the receiving end of a playful warning from comedian Samay Raina during his appearance on India’s Got Latent Season 2. The actor joined the show’s panel and spoke about his films and other projects before Raina brought up his performance in the hit series Sacred Games.

The latest episode featured Mukesh Chhabra, Bhuvan Bam and Kaustubh Agarwal in addition to Nawazuddin and Samay on the panel. Praising Siddiqui’s work in the series, Raina joked about his character and the show’s adult themes. “Sacred Games was amazing. Genuinely. Everyone loves Sacred Games,” he said, before adding, “In that one, Nawaz sir did drugs, drank alcohol, slept with prostitutes, and then he showed up on set.”

Siddiqui responded in the same spirit, quipping, “I came prepared the same way today.”

Raina then issued a playful warning to the actor, saying, “Please choose your words wisely. People in this seat have said some outrageous things.” His remark appeared to reference Ranveer Allahbadia, who had previously occupied the same seat on India’s Got Latent during the episode that sparked a major controversy last year.

The banter between Raina and Siddiqui continued as they discussed the actor’s recent work. Raina then brought up Siddiqui’s horror-comedy Thamma and asked, “Sir, why did you do Thamma? Why did you even make it?”

Thamma starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. Siddiqui appeared to pause before responding. “Thamma?” he asked, before adding, “Well, it got made. It’s done.”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the latest Bollywood celebrity to join the panel of India’s Got Latent Season 2. The ongoing season has already welcomed several prominent actors, including Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Medha Shankr and Varun Dhawan.

On the work front, Siddiqui was last seen in the indie drama Main Actor Nahin Hoon, which premiered on May 8, 2026.
