Traffic restrictions will likely begin from 5:00 PM and may continue till midnight, depending on crowd movement. Officials have also urged commuters to use public transport and follow traffic instructions strictly.
ROUTES LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED
Several key roads around the stadium are expected to see heavy congestion due to match-related movement. These include:
- Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg
- Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (JLN Marg)
- Asaf Ali Road
- Ring Road (Rajghat to I.P. Flyover stretch)
Commuters are advised to avoid these routes between 5:00 PM and 12:00 AM to prevent delays.
DIVERSIONS AND VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS
Traffic diversions may be imposed on the Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg depending on congestion levels.
In addition, heavy and commercial vehicles will not be allowed on the following stretches:
- Daryaganj to Delhi Gate Chowk (BSZ Marg)
- Delhi Gate Chowk to Guru Nanak Chowk (JLN Marg)

- Rajghat Power House Road
- Velodrome Road
A park-and-ride facility will operate from these locations, with shuttle buses starting two hours before the match and continuing up to one hour after it ends.
Designated parking (only for labelled vehicles):
- JP Park (Gate No. 3)
- Vikram Nagar (near Shahidi Park)
- Near JJB/Prayas Office (for two-wheelers)
- Between Gate No. 7 and 8
Vehicles parked illegally on roads like BSZ Marg, JLN Marg, and Ring Road will be towed.
