“You’re looking good, wedding bells around the corner? Getting married soon?” Morrison had asked with a grin back then. Gill had responded with a nervous smile, saying, “No, nothing like that,” before brushing off the moment.

The line of interaction has once again sparked mixed reactions from fans, with several questioning the relevance of personal questions in a professional broadcast setting.

On Sunday, Gill’s reaction suggested that the repeated nature of the question may not have gone down well with him. The brief exchange quickly faded as both sides moved on to focus on the match.

Gill has led the Gujarat Titans well in the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League. GT are firmly in the playoff race, having played nine games already this season. Gujarat are currently in fifth spot in the league table with 10 points to their name.
