BCCI announces India’s squad for T20I series against Bangladesh, Suryakumar Yadav to lead as captain

BCCI has announced the squad for the upcoming T20 series against Bangladesh. The men’s selection committee has picked 15 players who will be part of the squad for the upcoming IDFC FIRST Bank T20I series against Bangladesh. India will be playing three T20Is against Bangladesh at Gwalior, New Delhi, and Hyderabad. Three matches are to be played on October 6, 9 & 12.

Suryakumar Yadav has been selected as the captain of the team. The other members of the team include Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana and Mayank Yadav.

India won their last T20I series against Sri Lanka by 3-0 in July 2024. S. Yadav captained the Men in Blue and achieved the amazing series win against the Island nation.

India has remained unbeaten in the T20I matches post winning the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
