Burrow inside a massive kaiju in this bizarre flesh-mining indie game
by Grant St. Clair · Boing BoingWho do you turn to when the kaiju are bearing down on your city? The Power Rangers? Another kaiju? Superman, who pretty famously took one down in his last movie?
Freshly-announced indie game Kaiject proposes another solution: one guy with a drill and some plastic explosives. That guy being you. Taking inspiration from the Mystery Flesh Pit and procedural mining games like Deep Rock Galactic, Kaiject swaps out the more traditional rock for the guts of a massive kaiju. It's also billed as "meditative," which seems a bit difficult to pull off when you're sawing through bone and squishing massive organs.
Eat your heart out, Godzilla. Or rather, wait a second for a tiny guy with a buzzsaw to do it for you.
