Bengalurean wins Gold Medal

Bengaluru’s Ekalavya Awardee, Shodhan Rai has clinched the Gold Medal in the Athletic Bodybuilding at the World Cup 2024 in Los Angeles, USA.

Shodhan competed across multiple categories, securing remarkable results. He also won Silver Medals in the 35+ and 40+ bodybuilding categories.

Additionally, Shodhan earned a Bronze Medal in the Overall Bodybuilding competition. Alongside him, Shelly Arora participated in the Sports Model category and brought home a Silver Medal. The event saw participation from around 300 athletes representing 20 countries.

Rai also represented India at the Natural Olympia 2024 in Las Vegas, USA, where he was the only Indian athlete competing where he secured a Bronze Medal and earned two 4th place finishes. The contest featured 500 athletes from 38 countries, further elevating the significance of his performance. Shodhan participated in different age groups across Bodybuilding and Athletic categories, with each category consisting of 8-10 athletes, showcasing his versatility and skill.

Rai competes under the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA), which is recognised as one of the oldest and largest natural bodybuilding federations in the world.
