J&K beat Ladakh 3–0 in Santosh Trophy qualifier

Srinagar, Dec 15: J&K opened their campaign in the 79th National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy with a commanding 3–0 win over Ladakh in a first qualifier match at Mahilpur, Punjab, setting a positive tone for their upcoming fixtures against Himachal Pradesh and hosts Punjab later this week.

As per a statement issued on Monday, the J&K Team defeated Ladakh 3-0 in the first qualifier match of the 79th NFC Santosh Trophy 2025 presently underway at Mahilpur, Punjab. The team will play its second match against Himachal Pradesh on 17th Dec and its 3rd match against host team Punjab on 19th Dec 2025.

The statement as per the official from the J&K Sports Council said, “This represents the team’s inaugural and most distinguished selection.

We are optimistic that they will set a higher standard, even better than last year. Extending our best wishes to them for the upcoming matches.”
