While we patiently wait for the Perfect Dark achievements to drop (it's probably going to be a while yet), there's been a change at The Initiative: Xbox's Perfect Dark has a new creative director. Brian Horton, who previously served as creative director on Insomniac's upcoming Wolverine game, has left the company and joined Microsoft's The Initiative to work on the Xbox exclusive.

Playstation's Wolverine director now leading Xbox's Perfect Dark reboot:

According to a report from Game File, Horton, who was named Wolverine's creative director back in 2021, has been off the Marvel project since the summer. Game File reports that the change in leadership is down to creative decisions surrounding the game. Now, Horton is working on Xbox's Perfect Dark reboot at The Initiative. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed the move by telling the outlet that Horton will be "bringing his wealth of experience to the upcoming reboot of the classic secret agent series."

Horton is an industry veteran who served in numerous director roles across several big games, including Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

In June, Microsoft gave us our first look at Perfect Dark gameplay in an action-packed trailer. A release window for the reboot has not been announced.
