Palworld's next big update lands in December, so we can hope for new Palworld achievements alongside the new content. Palworld has had several big updates already, and will no doubt be one of the best Game Pass games when it's out of Game Preview.

Palworld confirms new island for December update

  • Palworld's next big, free update for Xbox arrives in December 2024
  • It'll add Palworld's biggest island yet
  • In the future, developer Pocketpair has a Palworld x Terraria crossover planned for 2025

The new island will be "the largest and harshest in Palworld's history," according to Pocketpair. "The island is about six times the size of Sakurajima, which was added in the last major update! Powerful tower bosses and many vicious new species of Pals lurk here." What's more, "a large amount of new content" will also arrive with the update.

Palworld has had several updates since its Early Access release at the start of the year. We had a new Sakurajima update that arrived several months ago with the new island, new pals, a new Raid Boss, and 19 new Xbox achievements.

With December's update promising to add an unbelievably massive island, it'll be interesting to see what we might have to deal with in terms of new pals and achievements.

Pocketpair has also confirmed some sort of collaboration with Terraria, although this is set for 2025. We don't have any info about this crossover yet beyond the image below, but the devs say there's more info to come.

More recently, Palworld made the news when we learned that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are suing Pocketpair over patent infringement.
