Liverpool boss Arne Slot responds to 'in your head' Nottingham Forest taunts
by James Pallatt · NottinghamshireLiveLiverpool boss Arne Slot has responded to being taunted by Nottingham Forest fans.
Slot was targeted by Reds supporters during the 1-1 draw at the City Ground on Tuesday night. Home fans could be heard chanting "We're in your head, in your head, Arne Arne Arne-Ne-Ne".
Laughing off the taunts throughout the game, Slot said: "They sang for me? I didn’t notice it that much! I thought they maybe just liked the style of play my team had. This was a joke but you understood that.
"They were not only singing for me, they were also helping the team a lot. A nice stadium to play in, it is the first time I am here.”
Forest hit the front inside 10 minutes as Chris Wood slotted home his 13th goal of the campaign and deserved their lead heading into the interval after Liverpool failed to register a shot on target.
Forest looked like they would close the gap to the league leaders to just three points until Diogo Jota headed in from a corner by fellow substitute Kostas Tsimikas just 22 seconds after the pair were introduced.
Forest had goalkeeper Matz Sels to thank for their share of the spoils after he made a string of outstanding second-half saves to hold Liverpool to a second successive league draw.
