Boxing enthusiasts were left frustrated as Netflix encountered streaming issues during the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul boxing match. The streaming service was making its first foray into live combat sports, but viewers struggled to watch the undercard before the main event.

Complaints flooded social media, with issues ranging from buffering to complete service crashes. One disgruntled fan stated: "If Netflix doesn't fix this buffering issue, this will go down as one of the biggest fails in all of tv/streaming history." Another added: " Another added: "First time I've sat down to watch boxing on forever and Netflix keeps freezing up and buffering...."

A user queried: "Is Netflix down for everybody? ? ? ? Literally my stuff will not load."

Another viewer asked: "Hey, is anyone else having server and bandwidth issues with Netflix? Pixels have ramped down to 1995 TV level and it keeps buffering..." Yet another said: "Netflix has crashed! We have been buffering at 25 per cent for 10 minutes and now frozen. It's not my network. We are pushing 250 mbs."

Other comments included: "Mine just stopped. Not having high hopes for seeing the main bout" and "Hundred thousand people watching this are having the exact same problem", reports the Mirror.

Netflix announced their unexpected venture into the boxing industry in March when Tyson's fight with Paul was initially revealed.

Tyson was compelled to delay his return to the ring by four months due to an inflamed ulcer he suffered on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. The boxing legend, who is known as the former undisputed heavyweight world champion, had a health scare when he collapsed in the bathroom and began coughing up blood.

Thankfully, he made a recovery and rescheduled his first fight in four years—and nearly 20 as a professional—facing off against YouTuber Paul later tonight. Despite being 31 years older than his opponent, Tyson has convinced both fans and experts that he still has what it takes to turn back time, even sharing a charged moment with Paul during their face-off on Thursday night when he went so far as to slap him.

Meanwhile, Netflix experienced technical difficulties earlier when Evander Holyfield could not hear host Kate Scott's questions, leading her to apologize live on air: "Evander, I apologise," she said. "I'm so sorry about the sound. Lennox, thank you for helping us out with the interview. We appreciate you. Good to see you tonight. Good to see both of you champions with us tonight."

YouTuber Jake Paul won the fight on points, leaving 70,000 fans frustrated over the controversial fight.
