The new and tenth exciting season for the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) is almost here. With the tournament set to be played from 4 August to 28 August, all the eight teams are set to form up a formidable roster that can go all the way. Scheduled for July 3, the TNPL 2026 auction saw as many as 783 registered players, with 10 players in Category B, 6 in Category C, and 767 in Category D.

Star players like Sai Sudharsan, Washington Sundar, Shahrukh Khan and Sai Kishore have been retained by their respective franchises and hence won’t feature in the player auction this time around. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin and Vijay Shankar have both retired from BCCI-affiliated domestic and IPL cricket to play in foreign leagues and are ineligible to be part of this league.
