Virat Kohli to play under Rishabh Pant's captaincy as Delhi announce squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy

As per a statement by the DDCA, India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been named the skipper for the Delhi side, in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy which starts on December 24. As revealed earlier by multiple reports, veteran Virat Kohli is also part of the squad for the first two matches.

Further, the likes of Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini too have confirmed their availability for the tournament. Indian pacer Harshit Rana, who is part of the T20I squad at the moment, will join the team when available. Placed in Group D, Delhi will play seven games till Jan 8. These stars have returned to domestic cricket, after it was made mandatory for Indian players to stay in game-mode, by playing in Ranji/VHT/SMAT.
Now the big question is, till when will both Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli play, since the IND vs NZ ODI series starts on Jan 11 in Vadodara. Meanwhile, upcoming player Ayush Badoni has been named the vice-captain; Tejasvi Dahiya is the second keeper behind Pant.
The Delhi squad boasts of a solid look with the presence of Nitish Rana, Sarthak Ranjan, Priyansh Arya and even Yash Dhull. In the bowling department there is Prince Yadav, among the known faces, along with Ishant and Saini.
