Punjab Kings (PBKS) are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI for the game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Punjab Kings (PBKS) are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI for their 3rd IPL 2026 game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 6 (Monday). Shreyas Iyer and co. registered their second win on the trot after defeating CSK by 5 wickets to climb to the top of the table. PBKS are more or less sorted in all departments – be it bowlng or batting. Therefore, they are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI for the game against KKR.

Predicted PBKS playing XI vs KKR

Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Priyansh Arya, Cooper Connolly, Shreyas Iyer (c), Nehal Wadhera, Marcus Stoinis, Shashank Singh, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Arshdeep Singh
Impact Sub – Yuzvendra Chahal.

Priyansh Arya provided a flying start for PBKS with a 39-run knock off just 11 deliveries, striking 3 fours and four sixes. His partner Prabhsimran Singh went on to score 43 runs. Connolly, who scored an impressive and matured knock of 70 runs on his IPL debut, impressed once again in the previous game with a 36-run knock. Therefore, PBKS have no issues whatsoever with their batting order, given that Shreyas Iyer has also been doing well, having gotten a half-century in the previous game. PBKS is unlikely to make any changes to their top-order and will back the trio to go all guns blazing once agin, although the task will be tough.

Like always, PBKS batting is quite deep, with their middle-order stretching to number 8. Stoinis, Wadhera, Shashank and Jansen are all-rounders who can effectively contribute with the bat and have displayed their prowess in the past, be it in international cricket or the IPL.

On Monday, PBKS will take on KKR at the latter’s home ground. Ajinkya Rahane and co. have already suffered a mammoth defeat at the venue. It was pacers who got most success at the venue in terms of wickets, and hence, PBKS are expected to persisit with a pace-heavy unit. Arshdeep will spearhead the pace attack, with Jansen, Bartlett and Vyshak serving as his deupties. Chalal will be the main spinner – most likely to come in as the impact player.
